The 3rd annual MediSun was again a success!  The combined effort between the Hillsborough and Pinellas County Medical Associations provided an educational yet enjoyable retreat for our attendees, exhibitors and sponsors.  The conference was held June 5th and 6th at the Safety Harbor Resort & Spa, nestled in a small corner of this charming gulf coast town next to Clearwater.  Though this was the first year at the resort in tiny Safety Harbor, the conference produced big results.

The cocktail reception on Thursday evening was held at Syd Entel Galleries.  Attendees enjoyed the wonderful atmosphere and free wine.  The conference was not just fun and games, however.  “I am…growing in my organization and enjoyed learning a variety of different things” explains Heather Martin, the self-proclaimed “billing queen” for Advanced Intervention in Pinellas County.  Symposium topics included Billing Fraud and Abuse, Recordkeeping Requirements, Coding, Payroll Fraud, and Provision Rules and Healthcare Law Issues, delivered by a handful of eloquent and knowledgeable presenters.
